Classic french style apple pie. It's essentiall apple pie, but you cook from the bottom up. Super easy to make and taste fantastic. A little homemade caramel with some puff pastry, apples and ice cream and your laughin.
Serves: 4
Ingredients
4 juicy sexy green apples
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
puff pastry
Preparation
- heat sugar and water on low temperature until it turns amber color and is the consistency of caramel
- pour a bit into 4 individual ramekins - about 3 tbsp, so it completely covers the bottom generously
- place sliced and peeled apples in - slice the shape into whatever your little heart desires - I prefer thin quarters cut into 2
- take puff pastry and cut into circles. use whatever you have to create a circle cutout
- perforate them with a fork, as it will allow it to not rise too much, and place on top of the apples
- bake for like 15-20 minutes, and let cool for like 15 mins and then just flip over and serve with ice cream and berries if you want.
